A friend, Mike Park, of Asian Man Records, was establishing a children’s division on the label and asked them to record their kindie songs. The duo’s debut album, “Imagination” earned several awards, including one from Parents’ Choice. NPR’s Stefan Shepherd said, “There’s always been a strong sense of self-discovery and independence in good kids’ music, and Play Date’s album, ‘Imagination’ has that for the punk rocker in training.”.

A basic rock foundation provides the root for Play Date music, Attonito says, “It always branches off, We experimented with a little hip-hop inspiration on the new record and a little ’60s rock and got a sort of ’80s-inspired dance tune, But in general, we always go from that three or four-chord rock ‘n’ roll inspiration, That comes out of us naturally.”, Play Date has just released a new album, the zestful and luminous “We All Shine.” The bright, bouncy songs include “L-O-V-E You,” “Hug Hug Hug,” “Cardboard Box” and “The Owl little ballerina clipart, ballet shoes, fairy princess, prima ballerina, belle, cinderella, commercial use, vector clip art, svg Song.”..

The couple is based in McCall, Idaho, 100 miles north of Boise. Attonito is originally from New Jersey; Wintergate from Los Angeles. They met while on separate spiritual quests in India. And the genuineness is most important.”. One of Attonito’s first memories is attending a library show as a kindergartener, seeing a woman playing acoustic guitar. It stuck with him. He and his wife say they hope to have a similar effect on kids. “I’ve been in a rock band for almost 30 years,” Attonito says. “It’s been a great satisfaction, being able to express myself through music, especially when I find out that it’s having an impact on someone else. People have told me a song has helped get them through a difficult time.

“Putting it in this new context, with the children, has taken that to a new level, because we’re interfacing with these 2- to 6-year-old kids who are probably having their first ever live music experience, It’s fun to see them all react in different ways, Some just sit and listen, Others get up and dance and are totally into it, And it’s fun to see their parents, who are experiencing it with their children for the first time, seeing their kids in a social environment, rocking out, loving little ballerina clipart, ballet shoes, fairy princess, prima ballerina, belle, cinderella, commercial use, vector clip art, svg it, It’s so important that families have this kind of shared experience, You keep that with you forever.”..

Attonito is working on a new Bouncing Souls album. He says his involvement with children’s music has made him a better grown-up rocker. “It has opened me up to another level, creatively. Writing for kids has gotten me past a lot of little boundaries that I didn’t know I had. When you’re writing a song for kids, you can just be silly. That doesn’t mean it won’t be meaningful, but it can be quite simple. It’s about the spirit of it. Remembering that, going back in and writing with The Bouncing Souls guys, I certainly was more free.
