A very pretty Vintage Brentleigh Ware Red Ballet Shoes Wall Pocket, made by the Howard Pottery Co., Shelton, Staffordshire, UK. They are a scarlet red in colour. The wall pocket is in fairly good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, however, the paint has flaked off in several places and there is some crazing. CC14’s ‘Thrill of the Chase’ through August. The Contra Costa 14 (CC14 artists) new show, “The Thrill of the Chase,” will run through August at the Orinda Library Gallery. Twenty-six of the 40 CC14 members — the group originated at a painting class at Diablo Valley College more than a decade ago — will show 2D and 3D works, including oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, mixed media, prints and ceramics. It’s all open to interpretation, co-curator Randy Stansberry said.
