The sculptor, a tile and granite contractor for 28 years, has recently began branching out with his artistic works. Based out of King’s Beach, Calif., Hazel is influenced by the work of Antoni Guadi, a Spanish architect known for his ceramics, stained glass and mosaic works. Hazel has made several art pieces for public display around California, but this was his first visit to Sunnyvale and, he says, hopefully not his last. “I just want to thank my team that works for me. They did a really great job,” said the |artist. “And the folks in Sunnyvale were really pleasant to work with. Hopefully, I can come down again and do some more.”.
